Well, I finally stepped up to the digital camera age.
I bought a KonicaMinolta E323 from an ebay vendor..
Neat little thing.

Welcome to the 21st century!
I just hope your camera's more reliable than my Nikon is... it only
works when I don't need it.

I LOVE my Nikon!
I have a coolpix 3100. ok its only a 3x zoom compact but the macro focuses as close as 4cm (with incredible depth of field) and its indestructible (well it survives my attentions).

A long time ago my father got a glass plate camera that the abby he
was employed at decided they did not want it.
It was about six foot by six foot and nine feet tall...we tried for
several years to find a museum or someone who wanted it. No luck. I
think he still has the lens.

Mine's a Coolpix 3500. It's basically the same as a 3100, but (I think)
with more pixels. I sent it back for repair three times over the course
of a little over a year before finally deciding to just use my Canon
video camera (far more reliable, takes ok stills).

Can I have it? :)
I still regret failing to notice the 3400 which existed when I got my 3100 and has an 8x zoom!

I'm still on my Coolpix 2500, which does seem to be pretty sturdy. I
haven't yet needed a picture size any bigger than 2Mpx, so it does for
me, and I love the rotating body; I was sad to see that Nikon removed
that functionality in its later models.
